Blizzard of 2011

I don’t know the final snow totals yet but Tuesday, February 1st, 2011 and into the morning of Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 we were hit with an outrageous blizzard in Rockford, Illinois. One of the news stations has reported 13.9 inches, our 4th biggest snowfall ever.

The city of Rockford (population 150,000+) issued a state of emergency and told all residents to stay off the streets. For the first time in my 7 1/2 years of working at my marketing job, work was closed!

Here is a photographic recap of the blizzard:

  1. Don’t remember how I got here 🙂
But what a snow post. Great to see the daily covering getting thicker and thicker. I’m sure you’ve just about had enough. Hope it doesn’t come back here.
