Here we have an Ermine (Mustela erminea), also known as a Stoat or Short-tailed Weasel. They share the same family with ferrets, minks, and other weasels and oddly enough, badgers, martens, and wolverines!

Back in 2002 I went on a trip out west that brought me to numerous wonderful locations, including Multnomah Falls in Oregon. Unfortunately, my binoculars were junky and I didn’t see as many birds as I could have. But it was fun times nonetheless.
