Over the weekend we went to Rock Cut State Park to look for ducks and more. There weren’t as many ducks as the previous week, but each day now it seems a new “spring” bird arrives.
With much delight we heard and found this singing Eastern Phoebe.
The trails were covered in frozen mud but the sun was shining brightly. We didn’t find too many more birds away from the lake; most notable was a trio of Red-bellied Woodpeckers that were chasing each other.
Love your phoebe photos. Would you mind if I used them as subjects for drawings I’m working on for a childrens’ book about a phoebe nest?
If it’s possible, send me an answer by e-mail.
Thanks’
Carol
