Everyone’s heard of TV sweeps, those special times of the year when tons of new TV programs come out (only to be canceled shortly after launch). Well, we decided to have Birding Blog Sweeps for the month of August (minus the future cancellation).
Why August? Birding this time of year, at least in northern Illinois, is fairly good. Yet, we feel this is a time of year where conservation could use a little boost. We will be doing our best to bring loads of conservation news, ideas, contests, games, videos, and whatever else we think of.
We will also be hosting I and the Bird for the first time! We are excited and hope we can draw attention to bird conservation!
