Aldo Leopold (1887-1948)

Aldo Leopold was born in a small town in Iowa and after living in several locations, settled down in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Here he bought a farm and many of his essays are based on his land management of this farm. Leopold was a major voice for conservation and much of his writing is timeless and readable.
