Anna Page Birding

Anna Page Park

Anna Page Park is known to many as a place to grill out or play disc golf, but few know it as a great birding spot. Yellow-breasted Chats, Henslow's Sparrows, Dickcissels, Wood Thrushes, and Red-eyed, White-eyed, and Yellow-throated Vireos are just a few species that might be found within the park.

Trails made for horses and snowmobiles make easy walking for birders and even around the vast picnic areas you might see a Yellow-billed Cuckoo or Yellow-throated Vireo in the mature trees.

Special Bird of Interest

An uncommon find, Bell's Vireo spends the summer in the floodplain northwest of the dam. The hike to this habitat can be tiring, but the bird's distinct song can be heard a long distance away.
