Phriday Photo – White-breasted Nuthatch
Spring has not sprung yet…but the gears are in motion.
Birds, Conservation & the Great Outdoors
We love to travel to find new birds and participate in a lot of bird counts. We also created a Guide to Birding Field Guides and host a collection of over 300 birding links from all over the globe.
While our main focus continues to be birds, we promote other areas of conservation as well. Conserving land not only benefits wildlife, but is hugely beneficial to people as well.
We love all sorts of outdoor activities, especially hiking and spend a lot of time outside with dogs and horses. We are working to produce more articles on all sorts of outdoor fun!
Every week we bring you Bird Photography Weekly. We periodically talk about our adventures in digiscoping. Feel free to browse our photo lifelist.

Definitely seeing signs of a change headed our way, but no new birds yet. This little guy looks like he’s not sure you’re trustworthy! Great shot.

I love the way nuthatches walk up or down trees.
Saw a baby bluebird on the railing of my porch the other day. Soon the indigo buntings will be here. It’s interesting to look at the year in terms of birding…after the indigo buntings, the next thing will be the proliferation of cardinal, woodpecker & blue jay babies…Always something to look forward to!

I saw my first Robin today, so I know spring is on the way! And a bluejay was at my feeder yesterday. The birds are starting to be more vocal, I can’t wait to hear them singing in the morning when I wake up.
