- Cleverness – Does the headline have that certain pop that just says “I gotta see what that’s about!”?
- Informative/Meaningful – You can have the most clever, intriguing headline, but if your post is about Breeding Bird Surveys, your title should represent this topic.
- Keyword Rich/Search Engine Friendly – Instead of saying “Recap of the ND BBS” you’re better off with spelling it out. This actually benefits your rankings in the search engines as well as assists your readers.
And of course, a super long title is usually not the way to go either!
