Birding

We love to travel to find new birds and participate in a lot of bird counts. We also created a Guide to Birding Field Guides and host a collection of over 300 birding links from all over the globe.

Conservation

While our main focus continues to be birds, we promote other areas of conservation as well. Conserving land not only benefits wildlife, but is hugely beneficial to people as well.

Outdoors

We love all sorts of outdoor activities, especially hiking and spend a lot of time outside with dogs and horses. We are working to produce more articles on all sorts of outdoor fun!

Photography

Every week we bring you Bird Photography Weekly. We periodically talk about our adventures in digiscoping. Feel free to browse our photo lifelist.

Illinois Young Birders Club Needs a Logo!

The Illinois Young Birders Club has been in the works for awhile and is officially up and running. Young birders age 9-18 are welcomed to join for only $10.00 a year.

Since the club is brand new they have an urgent need for a logo. Members are encouraged to submit their concepts for what will eventually become the official logo on not just the website but all promotional material (hats, shirts, newsletters, etc.).

So if you are a young birder in Illinois, join up now and show off your artistic skills by creating the Illinois Young Birders Club logo! The deadline is being extended beyond the April 23rd posted date but don’t delay!!

There are no prizes but the winner will be featured on Birdfreak.com and having your artwork in a logo is a huge way to get exposure for future projects!
