Church in Northern Illinois

This church was in Lee County in northern Illinois. I took this photo on the way home from the Bald Eagle Weekend at Starved Rock State Park.

You captured some nice lighting there, Dakota. There’s a sort of soft glow behind the steeple that makes the photo more interesting.

I love catching old churches and other buildings in rural Iowa and Illinois. I particularly like old courthouses, especially in the surrounding Illinois counties. Which reminds me, I need to post those….

Great shot!

Hi Dakota, congrats on the ABA prize!

Eddie said that you would be writing more over the summer - I look forward to it!

Happy birding

As an animal enthusiast, I thought you would be interested in knowing about a great opportunity coming to Columbus, Ohio in October.

Jeff Corwin, Emmy-award winning wildlife biologist of “The Jeff Corwin Experience” on Animal Planet, will be the featured speaker at ODU’s Presidential Lecture Series at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 at the Aladdin Shrine Center – 3850 Stelzer Road, Columbus, Ohio 43219.

Jeff will be bringing with him, a host of reptiles and snakes, and will be interacting with members of the audience.

If you’d like more information, please don’t hestitate to contact me. Ticket information can be found on the ODU site. We would love for you to post about this exciting event on your blog.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Courtney Cooper
