About Me

My name is Sammie and I am a young birder. I will be ten this summer and will be going into fifth grade. My whole family loves birds and I get to go birding a lot.

I have one younger sister who likes spoonbills and Snowy Owls, but she can’t always find the birds when we go birding.

I have a cat named Ginger (a boy) and he always stays inside, even though we found him as a wild stray. He makes a weird noise when he sees a bird through the window. It sounds like a White-breasted Nuthatch. He usually makes the sound just for birds, but one time he made the sound at my Dad.

I am officially the youngest member of The Birdfreak Team, since my sister is still in training.
