I featured a Mourning Dove this week at As the Mind Wanders. Keep up the great work, all!

Still presenting my whooping crane family series. You must see the chick swimming and the parent presenting food in water. George Archibald, co-founder of the International Crane Foundation, uses one of these photos in his slide presentations.

I’ve got an unknown empid (I think). Any ideas on which species would be great. :)

A fun series of fledgling American Goldfinches taken very late in October.

Well, as was very kindly pointed out in the comments to my post, my original photos were actually of a White-winged Dove (rather than the Mourning Dove I had mistakenly labeled it as). Thanks to KatDoc and Christopher for the corrections!

So now I’ve added an extra photo to my post, which includes both a Mourning and the White-winged Dove.

Learning as I go…

This is my first week submitting to Bird Photography Weekly. I’m showcasing a Pine Siskin enjoying life in flowing water.
